Case Studies

University of Birmingham Annual Survey Project

SURVEY DESIGN, DATA ANALYSIS, REPORTING

A comprehensive UX research project conducted to enhance the digital learning experience for university students. Our team gathered and analysed data on student behaviours, preferences, and challenges with the university’s online learning platforms.

This research led to actionable recommendations that have significantly improved mobile usability, digital accessibility, and the integration of AI-driven learning tools.

Assessment Tool Procurement Project

SURVEY DESIGN, FOCUS GROUPS, DATA ANALYSIS, REPORTING

This case study explores a year-long UX research and procurement project aimed at improving the assessment experience across the university. Our team engaged 7,500 students and 120 academic staff members to identify and implement a new assessment tool that aligns with the institution’s educational goals.

By focusing on user needs, preferences, and challenges, we provided data-driven recommendations that led to the selection of a user-centred tool, improved assessment practices, and influenced institutional strategy.

Transformation West Midlands Project

DATA ANALYSIS, REPORTING

This case study explores the Transformation West Midlands (TWM) project, funded by the Office for Students (OfS), which aimed to boost employment opportunities for local graduates, with a focus on underrepresented groups.

A key component of this initiative was a reverse mentoring scheme that paired final-year students with regional employers to foster more inclusive recruitment practices.

Through a detailed analysis of feedback from both mentors and mentees, this project provided actionable insights that led to improved recruitment strategies, enhanced management practices, and stronger student-employer connections.

Academic Research

SURVEY DESIGN, STATISTICAL ANALYSIS, DATA REPORTING

This study aimed to explore the factors influencing COVID-19 booster intentions, providing critical insights for shaping behavioural change interventions to boost vaccine uptake. By analysing data from 301 participants aged 21 to 68, the research identified key predictors of booster intentions, including the perceived threat of COVID-19 and generalised attitudes toward vaccines.

Additionally, the study highlighted the significant influence of sociodemographic factors, such as gender and interactions with vulnerable individuals. These findings underscore the importance of promoting positive attitudes toward vaccination and tailoring public health messages to emphasize community impacts, offering valuable guidance for future pandemic management strategies.
